ACTIONS

Vocabulary: Run, climb, eat, fly…so on

Grammar: 

It was the third class of the last period. I was impressed because until now I realized that we had changed, I mean we are not the same students that started the semester. We are focusing in being good teachers and how to keep the attention of our students in us.

The class started with Raul which got my attention because he demonstrated that he is a good teacher. He started with a warm up in which he sang the “Hello” song· He asked SS to do different movements according what he was doing. For example, when he said “happy” they had to jump in order to demonstrate how happy they were. I loved the way that he did it because he did it many times in order to internalize the new hello version song.  Also he did clear instructions.

After the warm up. Raul asked them to pick up their own names and show the picture that was inside. For example, Imelda`s name has a grandmother. Everybody participated and they wanted to know what was in it. Very Good idea raul.

Then, he used a Rota-folio that is known because you can put in some pictures or letter and you can change it by yourself. It was a very good idea because Raul had students attention and asked them about what was that and to do some movements.

 It was the presentation of Action vocabulary but them he asked them to do 2 lines in which they will try to answer Raul's question as soon they can. It was very nice because they wanted to win as many they could. I think that at they age they are very competitive and they need games like this one. 

Just I would like that Raul would do a little big the pictures because even was visible for them they need something biggest. But it was nice and What i loved is when Rauls said that they had to climb such as Spiderman( it was a nice idea because after this they used to remember Spiderman ) just i would like that he used this Superheros for all the actions, for example Drive as 

JUANS^S TURN

At this time i was happy which i had seen but when i saw Juan`s activities i got imprest, and because i loved his tone of voice and how he control his class- He was not yelling but demostrated that he was the Leather. EXCELENT JUAN

He did a nice activity in which he used sone flashcard in which was the name of the action. He did many questions about this actions and repeated many time which was very nice because they could internalize the vocabulary! Thank you Juan because you gave me many ideas of how to introduce the vocabulary.

 In the practice he started a game in which was a competition. Ss had to throw a circle to certain cones that each cone represents an action. It was very nice because they run and they help each other (because they were divided in 2 groups). I saw Nicole doing it very well and also Darling was helping to put it in the correct place. VERY GOOD ACTIVITY.

Such I would like to separate the cones in order to do it run more than they were doing in this way everybody would have the same opportunity. I think that the space did not gave the opportunity to do it like that, but I Loved the activity.
